A Teletext portrait for the Flash Party 2023 in Buenos Aires, ranked 1st place in the dedicated Teletext competition.

Background

This piece was done in preparation for TeletextR’s Last Ever Teletext Show art event. The call for entries asked for Teletext creations relating to events from 2023.

Done using a reference image, Photoshop, a helper grid and a lot of thinking: “If I leave a gap here, this should work…”

Ported to Teletext using image2mode7 because I was too lazy for manual re-sixelling, then hand-adjusted in the zxnet Teletext editor.

Tested on real hardware
