A no-cpu demo for Gerp 2026. Time to lower the bar! No CPU and no blitter!

It wasn’t supposed to be quite that minimalistic, but what can you do. It won a respectable 4th place (out of 4) at Gerp, so it had a good run! :)

If you’re wondering “What the hell is no-cpu?”, check out the other entries to see how it’s done, and don’t miss Blueberry’s demo (and framework!).

Edit: Blueberry notified me that I used an old version of the no-cpu runner. I’ve updated the disk image, and now it also runs on my own Amiga 500!

Fine print: Yes, that’s kind of weird – the demo still needs about 1 MB of chip ram. But if you got an Amiga 500 with a 512 KB memory expansion, chances are high it’s equipped with an ECS Agnus chip (see the README), and the custom chips “see” the not-really-fastmem area as chip memory. Cool, eh?

Note: Requires 1 MB of chip RAM (A500+, A600, A1200 should work)
